Werabe University

Werabe University (WRU), established in 2018 as a fourth-generation university in Ethiopia, emphasizes quality higher education and community service. It began with an enrollment of over 4,000 students across various departments and has since expanded its facilities to support its growing academic community.

• Growth: The university currently serves over 7,000 students across 47 departments within 6 colleges, with an expected capacity increase to 10,000 students. The university currently consists of more than 481 academic staffs and about 547 support staffs under various directorates.
• Programs: WRU offers a diverse range of undergraduate and continuing education programs, focusing on disciplines that meet the demands of the local and national economy.
• Research and Community Engagement: The university is committed to fostering research initiatives and community service, enhancing its role in promoting socio-economic development in the region.
