Injibara University

Injibara University (IU), established in 2015 as part of Ethiopia's commitment to expanding higher education, focuses on producing competent graduates to support the country's green economy initiatives. It began with a significant enrollment and has since developed its facilities and programs to meet the educational needs of the region.

• Growth: The university currently serves approximately 15,000 students across six colleges and one school, with ongoing expansion of academic offerings and support facilities.
• Programs: IU offers 54 undergraduate and 43 postgraduate programs, designed to align with local and national economic demands, particularly in green initiatives and sustainability.
• Research and Community Engagement: The university is dedicated to integrating research, community service, and environmental conservation, enhancing its impact on socio-economic development in the Awi Zone and beyond.
