Mettu University

Mattu University (MaU) is a third-generation public university in Ethiopia, established in 2011 to address the growing demand for high-level professionals in the country. Mettu university is located in Mettu town, 600 km southwest of Addis Ababa, MaU began with an initial enrollment of 300 undergraduate students and has since grown to an admission capacity of over 22,000.currently, The university offers 56 undergraduate and 42 graduate programs across eight colleges and three schools, focusing on research and community service to address societal challenges. MaU is committed to enhancing its impact through strategic objectives, international collaboration, and partnerships, particularly in food processing and agro-based initiatives to foster local economic growth.
