Madda Walabu University

Madda Walabu University (MWU) is a prominent higher education institution in Ethiopia, established in 1999 E.C. (2006 G.C.). Located 227 km southwest of Robe, it serves as a vital educational hub for the region, reflecting the cultural heritage of the Oromo people.

Currently, MWU consists of 8 colleges, employs 874 professional instructors, and has 17,172 active students. Since its inception, it has graduated 43,503 students. The university has experienced significant growth in both its student body and academic programs, making it a dynamic center for learning. Its fertile agricultural surroundings and proximity to various tourist attractions further enhance its appeal as an attractive destination for education and exploration.
