History & About Arsi University
Arsi University was founded on October 15, 2014, in Asella Town, Ethiopia, as an autonomous public higher education institution, accredited by the Ministry of Education (MoE). The university's origins date back to the College of Business and Economics, established at Nazareth Technical College in 1993. In 2005, this college was moved to Adama University, where its Department of Economics was incorporated and eventually became part of Adama Science and Technology University. In 2017, Arsi University expanded its academic offerings with the establishment of the College of Agriculture and Environmental Science, which began providing B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Animal Health Science.
