History

Tsehay Bank is a joint stock company that was officially founded on July 23, 2022, under the banking business regulation no. 592/2008. Initially, it began operations with an authorized capital of Birr 2.8 billion and a paid capital of Birr 734 million. The establishment of the bank was solidified following a shareholder general assembly held on February 18, 2021, with its formal launch occurring on July 23, 2022. The bank has over 373 shareholders and started its journey with 30 branches located in Addis Ababa and various other key cities and towns throughout the nation. As of now, the total number of branches has grown to over 91, and the bank has increased its subscribed capital to Birr 5 billion.

1. Ordinary Saving Account

A basic deposit account offering interest, available to individuals and legal entities. Requires a minimum of 25 Birr balance to calculate interest.

Features: Monthly interest calculation, access via debit card and mobile banking, can be opened with zero balance but needs 25 Birr by month-end.

2. Kibirt Women’s Saving Account

A saving account designed specifically for women aged 18+ and women-majority associations.
