Ethiopian Grade 12 Old Curriculum ICT has 4 units, they are:
- Information Systems
- Enhancing the Use of Software
- Exploiting the Internet
- Image Processing and Multimedia Systems
Unit 1: Information Systems
This unit introduces the foundations of information systems and their role in modern society. Students learn about e-learning, e-government, e-banking, e-libraries, and e-commerce, as well as the basics of system analysis to understand how technology supports different sectors.
Unit 2: Enhancing the Use of Software
Focusing on practical computer skills, this unit covers the use of various application software tools. Students gain hands-on experience to improve productivity and efficiency in different work and study contexts.
Unit 3: Exploiting the Internet
Here, students explore the principles of website design, including planning, design considerations, and development. The unit emphasizes how internet technologies can be applied in creating effective online platforms.
Unit 4: Image Processing and Multimedia Systems
This unit provides a comprehensive introduction to multimedia, covering authoring tools, image editing, sound and video integration, and film editing basics. Students also learn how to create interactive presentations and digital media content.
