Chapters Overview
Chapter One: Clothing / ልብስ
Students will explore different types of clothing, identify the main ideas in passages, define common words, and practice forming and writing words correctly.
Chapter Two: Seasons / ወቅቶች
Students will learn about the four seasons, understand seasonal changes, recite main ideas from passages, define season-related vocabulary, and practice reading and writing four-letter words.
Chapter Three: Stories / ታሪኮች
Students will listen to and retell stories, identify main characters and ideas, use punctuation marks correctly, form four-letter words, and interpret meanings of new words.
Chapter Four: Garden / የአትክልት ቦታ
Students will explore plants and gardens, identify main ideas in texts, distinguish punctuation, and write simple sentences about what they have learned.
Chapter Five: Environmental Sanitation / የአካባቢ ንጽህና አጠባበቅ
Students will learn about hygiene, extract key ideas from texts, recognize and use punctuation marks, and summarize passages in writing.
Chapter Six: Traditional Music / ባህላዊ ሙዚቃ
Students will identify musical notes, practice simple dances and free movements, play role-playing games, and express ideas through visual arts.
Chapter Seven: Good Manners / መልካም ሥነምግባር
Students will understand proper behavior, form singular nouns, read short stories fluently, define words from passages, and write correctly.
Chapter Eight: Food / የምግብ አዘገጃጀት
Students will learn about food preparation, organize main ideas from passages, identify simple sentences, and practice reading and writing words with similar endings.
Chapter Nine: Digital Material / ዲጅታል ቁስ
Students will read and understand digital material, extract the main message, define words, read words with suffixes, and write appropriate sentences.
Chapter Ten: Wild Animals / የዱር እንስሳት
Students will explore wild animals, present main ideas from texts, relate passages to real-life experiences, read fluently, and write sentences appropriate for their level.
